Devon U15ís Girls Rugby - Gloucestershire 12 Devon 22
Sunday 30 November saw Devon under 15 girls make the journey to Gloucestershire with many of the county girls starting their journeys early in the morning. The home side opened scoring with a quick break through try. Devonís determination kicked in with several Gloucester scrums being won by an aggressive pack and quick hooking. Devon continually moved forward but they seemed unable to get over the try line, held back by an strong defensive wall. A well worked forward move saw Emily Underwood scoring to even the results at half time.

The pack claimed the second half as theirs, led by Harriet Inglis and her devastating counter rucking, enabling the scrum half, Kezia Lee, to punch holes in the defence, releasing Abbie Brown to score two trys one after the other, one converted in windy conditions by Steph Papp. The second half also saw a disallowed try by Louise Gardner and after being camped in Gloucesterís half for most of the second period a momentary lapse of concentration saw Gloucester score a converted try. Within a matter of minutes the focused Devon team were back into Gloucester territory seeing a try scored by Ali Hunter from outside the 22m line, ensuring a Devon win. Gloucestershireís defence continued to battle but were not able to beat the visitors who celebrated with a well earned victory.

This season five of the Devon squad play for Albion Girl's U15s - Courtney Gill, Harriet Inglis, Kezia Lee, Louise Gardner, and Tandi Wallace-Sims.

Devon girls take on a combined Dorset/Wiltshire team at Sherbourne on 14th Dec, 2pm KO.
